About Us
Buttles Systems was founded in 1986 and formed as an LLC in 1999.  During all this time we have focused on database administration & development.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality database solutions, with a primary focus on the SMB market.  Our philosophy, though, is that no job is too small or too large and we have worked with companies with as few as three employes to companies with 10,000+ employees.  Our focus is changing as the lure of the road is not as appealing as it once was and our personal needs have changed.  Hence, this site will have a product oriented aspect.
Company history
 
Buttles Systems was founded in 1986 in San Jose, CA, and formed as an LLC in Dallas, TX, in 1999.  During all this time we have focused on database administration & development.  In order to provide the best at a reasonable price, we use quality consultants with whom we have a good working relationship on an as-needed basis. 
 
We started with dBase III, worked through versions III+ and IV and progressed up the ladder through all versions of MS SQL Server and MS Access to the present.

 
Customer testimonials
 
Due to confidentiality agreements, we do not publically disclose our clients or details of their projects.  In a general overview, however, projects have involved several high-availability projects for a major telephone company, an airline and two of the top-five consulting firms.  Two of these were cross-country projects.  Another major consulting firm's project was for space management.   All of them and others have required extensive performance optimization of MS SQL Server.
